"Waste Group" — Association managing household waste in Uzbekistan

Waste Group is an association operating in the field of household waste management in the Republic of Uzbekistan. The association unites enterprises specialized in sanitary cleaning, which are engaged in collecting and transporting household waste from the population and various organizations, as well as providing high-quality services in this sector.

The Association of Organizations Providing Household Waste Collection and Removal Services was officially registered on July 13, 2018 (and re-registered on November 15, 2022, by the Ministry of Justice). The Association was established to coordinate the activities of its members, protect their interests, and achieve the goals set forth in its Charter through joint action.

Objectives and Mission of the Association

  • Coordinating the activities of its members and representing and protecting their common property interests;
  • Supporting members in carrying out lawful commercial activities and in establishing public-private partnerships in the field of household waste collection and removal;
  • Assisting in the organization of exhibitions, fairs, presentations, conferences, business forums, and cooperation exchanges in Uzbekistan and abroad;
  • Facilitating the investment, commercial, scientific-technical, and economic activities of its members;
  • Representing and defending members' interests before government bodies and in international platforms, as well as participating in conferences, seminars, symposiums, and other events;
  • Supporting the establishment of sound business relations among members;
  • Developing proposals for state and local authorities aimed at improving the sanitary and ecological situation in the country and enhancing the quality of life of the population.

  • Supporting the social, financial, and economic development of its member organizations;
  • Creating conditions for effective economic activity and fair competition;
  • Organizing informational services related to challenges in members’ operations;
  • Promoting the implementation of environmentally friendly technologies and the dissemination of alternative energy solutions in entrepreneurship;
  • Assisting in the protection and representation of its members’ legal rights and interests before public institutions and other organizations;
  • Submitting initiatives and proposals to government bodies and local authorities aimed at improving public health, environmental conditions, and living standards in the country;
  • Organizing services for the collection, transportation, disposal, recycling, landfilling, and sale of waste in accordance with established standards, rules, procedures, and technologies, and ensuring full and timely payment for services rendered by its members;
  • Reducing the risk of revenue loss and financial difficulties during the service period for residents and assigned territories;
  • Organizing training and professional development programs for personnel.
